KIRK HENDRY | ANIMATION DIRECTOR
Kirk Hendry is an award-winning filmmaker and animator with an emphasis on storytelling and illustration. Equally at home in 2-D and 3-D, he often combines these mediums with stop motion. Kirk has lent his directing talent to commercials for The U.S.Department of Transportation, The World Wildlife Fund, Ardbeg, and The Guardian newspaper.
Kirk’s promo spot for Dancing on Ice on ITV won Gold at PromaxBDA 2018 for Best Animation and Silver for Best Entertainment spot. He also wrote and directed the animated short Junk, which screened at over 150 film festivals and gained awards and nominations including BAFTA, BAA, BIFA, Soho Shorts and Creative Circle. Kirk is currently developing a feature-length film of author Michael Morpurgo’s award-winning book Kensuke’s Kingdom with Co-Director Neil Boyle.
