Award-winning filmmaker Lesley Chilcott refuses to be boxed in, continuously exploring topics that engage audiences by tackling myths and illuminating the truth. She was a producer of Waiting for Superman, for which she won the Producers Guild Award for Best Documentary, and the Academy Award-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. Her documentary, Watson, premiered at the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival and was picked up by Animal Planet/Discovery, airing in 50+ countries.
Donning both the director and executive producer roles, Lesley’s critically acclaimed docuseries Helter Skelter: An American Myth premiered on EPIX, and explored the mythology behind the infamous Manson murders. Lesley also directed the debut film of TNT’s “The Arena” in partnership with The Bleacher Report, in which the most prolific voices in sports discuss current events and its impact on the future of the NBA.
Lesley’s recent advertising projects include directing spots for AdventHealth and Holland America. She also directed ARNOLD, a 3-part docuseries exploring the life and work of Arnold Schwarzenegger which premiered on Netflix.
