PIERRE DALPÉ

Pierre Dalpé started as a screenwriter and music video director. Then as a creative at Cossette he learned about the advertising world’s care for originality, attention to detail, and excellence writing campaigns for Molson, General Motors, and Bell. Armed with new communication skills, Pierre switched back to directing in 2000. He states, "People love stories with great characters and brilliant dialogue they can relate to, and more than anything, emotion. This is also true of advertising, which is to me, part of the entertainment world. Tell me a good story please!".

Much of Pierre's work involves dialogue, but he’s also at ease with visual storytelling, especially when the execution calls for seamless visual effects. "I like to shoot every possible element in camera, using specially designed props, prosthetics, motion control, often enhancing with CGI elements. Each idea needs to give the viewer that original eye candy moment."

Pierre has collaborated with Canadian, American, and European agencies including Ogilvy, McCANN, GREY, JWT, THE HIVE, DDB, LEO BURNETT, SidLee, LG2, DentsuBos, Publicis, Cossette, Saatchi, FCB, BleuBlancRouge, Rethink, and Taxi.
