IAMSTATIC wanted to inject a little story of our their own into the titles to give them some importance, but wanted the titles to do a bit more work as far as describing the shows characters and backstory. For Frontier, there’s a mix of 3D, 2D animation and FX plates composited in. The ship and canoe scenes were painted frame by frame and they composited on the textures in 3D, as many techniques applied to a specific graphic design.
